School Visits

We provide school visits that can be tailored to the needs of the children. These can involve whole school assemblies covering life as an author/publisher designed to enthuse and inspire young readers/ writers and interactive story telling sessions for KS1 which create plenty of opportunities for writing. The sessions will be delivered to the children by Naomi Joslyn (the author) who has over 20 years teaching experience, with roles that included English, Pupil Premium, Music and KS1 Lead. We can offer author visits in person or online.

"We highly recommend Naomi Joslyn's school visits. We were fortunate enough to have her visit us today and what a success it was! Naomi began with an inspiring assembly to KS1 outlining her journey to becoming an author and shared her publications. The children in Year 2 then had class-based workshops linked to their topic about the Great Fire of London. Children were so engaged listening to (and helping!) Naomi read her book 'Molly McDrew and the Great Fire of London'. They then took part in a short activity to get their imaginations flowing. Thank you Naomi, we hope to welcome you back in the future."

"Thank you so much Naomi! The visit was amazing and the children were very engaged throughout. The books are perfect for infant school children and we would love to have you back if you write any books in the future! They loved the character of Molly McDrew and the adventures she goes on. We are even going to include the books into our Writing planning."

The assembly was great - all our pupils from Year R-6 were engaged the whole way through. It was so useful, and interesting for the older children to see the information about the writing process, publishing and printing in general - not just about your own books, really refreshing to see!
Kimberley Colegate, English Lead

"Naomi Joslyn's visit to our year 1 class was a great success with the children. She presented her story "Molly McDrew's space adventure" in a fun and engaging way and they loved taking part in the little planet game at the end.
We would love to welcome her back in the future to present one of her other lovely books."
